Israeli strikes kill over 140 Palestinians in Gaza

At least 143 Palestinians have been killed in a fresh wave of Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip since dawn on Thursday, according to medical sources. The escalation coincided with the 77th anniversary of Nakba Day, which commemorates the mass displacement of Palestinians during the 1948 creation of the state of Israel.
Among the dead were 13 victims of a deadly strike on the al-Tawbah medical clinic in the Jabalia refugee camp. Witnesses described a horrifying scene, with bodies — including those of children — torn apart on the upper floor of the facility.
The assault on medical infrastructure comes amid growing international concern over the state of Gaza’s healthcare system. On the same day, the World Health Organization confirmed the closure of Gaza’s last cancer hospital in Khan Yunis, following another Israeli attack that rendered the European Hospital inoperable.
In Israel, the October 7 attacks killed 1,139 people and led to the capture of over 200 individuals by Hamas, triggering a full-scale military offensive that has since devastated much of the Gaza Strip.
